Abstract: We discuss different mechanisms for generating non-Gaussian
initial conditions in the universe. We argue that to lowest order in slow-roll parameters, three "shapes" of the three-point function are allowed, peaking roughly on squeezed, equilateral, and flattened configurations of the momenta k_1, k_2, k_3. We present and interpret optimal constraints on these three shapes from WMAP.
