Title: Cosmic-Ray Positrons and Supernova/Pulsar/GRB Remnants
Date (JST): Wed, Jul 15, 2009, 13:30 - 15:00
Place: Room 633, 6th floor, General Research Building
Abstract: We will discuss possible astrophysical origins for the excesses of cosmic-ray positrons and electrons recently observed by the PAMELA, ATIC/PPB-BETS, Fermi and HESS experiments, and relevant physics in GRBs, pulsars and SNRs. We will mainly focus on the general features in the cosmic-ray spectrum expected for the astrophysical sources to discriminate between dark matter and astrophysical origins. We will also examine other signatures including the anti-proton fluxes and the anisotropy in the cosmic-ray fluxes for each models. We will also discuss the connections with TeV unidentified sources particularly for the hypernova/GRB remnants.
