Abstract: |
I will describe the Dark Energy Survey project, which has now completed 4 of 5 planned years of observations, with a focus on how DES can be cosmologically useful even when the much-better-quality HSC imaging surveys are complete. I will summarize the methods used by DES to solve some of the most challenging problems in imaging survey analyses, such as photometric calibration, redshift estimation, and weak lensing shear measurement. Finally I can give a brief view of some science results to date, and our plan for releasing catalogs and cosmological results this year. |
