| Abstract: | I will discuss some recent work aimed at understanding to what extent regions of spacetime can be thought of as quantum circuits, and which possible cost functions could be associated to such regions. I will also discuss a possible boundary notion of complexity for circuits generated by conformal transformations, and possible connections between the boundary and bulk pictures.
