Title: Derived manifolds and field theory

Abstract: We will start by providing some background and motivation for derived geometry from differential topology and physics. Then, we explain explicitly what derived manifolds are and give a complete characterization of their associated infinity-category, elucidating its connections both to derived algebraic geometry and differential graded supergeometry. Finally, we will explain how this theory can be used to construct the derived space of solutions of field equations arising from Lagrangian gauge field theories.
