| Abstract: | We first give a brief introduction to tropical geometry. This includes its history, sources, and easy examples. Next, we explain classical algebraic geometry, in particular, the duality of geometry and algebra. Then focusing on its tropical version, we explain how tropical rational function semifields are well-behaved, i.e., our results on them. |
