Abstract:
This survey talk combines several of our research results of a similar spirit, partly reflecting joint works with Y.Oshima, K.Goto, and Y.Namikawa.

Calabi-Yau metrics are canonical Kahler metrics with vanishing Ricci curvature on Calabi-Yau varieties. Although they are rarely explicit, when we analyze asymptotic behaviors (e.g., collapsing, bubbling), we often observe surprisingly rich algebraic structures of a minimal model theoretic nature, which we analyze by means of K-stability, Donaldson-Sun theory, Lie theory, moduli compactification theory etc.
