The advent of JWST has renewed the interest of the astrophysical community in the high-redshift universe in general, and cosmic reionization in particular. In this talk, I will give an overview of the various theoretical tools at our disposal to model various aspects of the process. I will also discuss the prospects of detecting the 21 cm signal from the high-redshift neutral hydrogen, and present the latest LOFAR results in this respect.  |
