Abstract: We discuss a conjecture for a necessary and sufficient condition for a geometry to have a quantum mechanical dual. We illustrate the conjecture using various limits of a recent duality proposal of Maldacena, and in particular we provide an example of a UV-complete description of a cosmological singularity and also give a `derivation` of FRW/CFT from existing duality proposals.
