Abstract: The fundamental problems in cosmology such as the flatness problem, the horizon problem, and the origin of the large scale structure of the universe can be resolved by the exponential expansion of the universe, the so-called de Sitter expansion. The statistical nature of primordial fluctuations is determined by symmetry of de Sitter spacetime. However, in view of the precision cosmology, inflation is not exactly de Sitter and a slight deviation of the universe from de Sitter universe leads to statistical symmetry breaking in the CMB. In this talk, I will try to explain that the statistical anisotropy as well as spectral tilt and non-gaussianity is natural from the point of view of supergravity.
