Title: Exact results for boundaries and domain walls in 2d supersymmetric theories
Date (JST): Tue, Nov 19, 2013, 13:15 - 14:45
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: Part 1: I will explain how N=(2,2) gauged linear sigma models can be used to study D-branes in Calabi-Yau manifolds, as well as integrable models such as XXX spin chains.

Part 2: I will apply supersymmetric localization to theories on a hemisphere, with boundary conditions preserving B-type supersymmetries. The hemisphere partition function computes exactly the central charge of the D-brane. I will also formulate supersymmetric domain walls as D-branes in the product of two theories and exhibit domain walls that realize the sl(2) affine Hecke algebra.
