Speaker: Shiraz Minwalla (Tata Institute) Scattering in Large N Matter Chern Simons theories Tue, Mar 11, 2014, 13:15 - 14:45 Seminar Room A We study $2 \rightarrow 2$ scattering in large $N$ Chern Simons theory coupled either to bosonic or to fermionic fields in the fundamental representation in the t' Hooft limit. Working in the light cone gauge we are able to sum all planar graphs that contribute to the scattering amplitude, and determine formula the scattering amplitude at all orders in the t' Hooft expansion. We propose that the bosonic S matrix in exchange channel with Young Tableaux Y maps into the fermionic S matrix in the exchange channel with Young Tableaux $Y^T$, and check that our explicit results agree with this proposal. Our results may be viewed as new evidence for a proposed bosonisation duality relating the bosonic and fermionic Chern Simons theories. Our results also suggest that naive channel duality is modified in scattering in matter Chern Simons theories.
