Title: An introduction to (p-adic) Langlands functoriality

Abstract: I will begin this talk with an introduction to the Langlands programme. After some general philosophy we will focus on one of the most important pillars of the programme - the so called Langlands functoriality conjectures. A powerful strategy to study certain questions of the Langlands programme is to put the objects of interest into p-adic families. Sometimes these families can even be organised into p-adic geometric spaces. The second part of my talk will be concerned with these spaces and with the question of extending the classical Langlands functoriality conjectures to the p-adic geometric setting. Finally we will see some examples, where the classical conjecture is known and can be used to prove the p-adic version.
