Title: Indirect Dark Matter Search with GAPS through cosmic-ray antiparticle measurements
Date (JST): Wed, Jan 21, 2015, 13:30 - 14:30
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: The physics motivation and the project outline of GAPS (General Anti-Particle Spectrometer) will be introduced. GAPS is a proposed indirect dark matter search experiment focusing on cosmic-ray antiparticles, especially on ultra-low-energy antiprotons and undiscovered anti-deuterons, produced by the WIMP annihilation and/or decay in the Galactic halo. GAPS will provide stringent constraints especially on light dark matter models, where inconsistent results were reported by recent experiments.
