Title: Modelling and reconstruction of the cosmological large-scale structure from galaxy redshift surveys

Abstract: The imprints of the origin and cosmic evolution of our Universe are encoded in the cosmological large-scale structure (LSS). However, the action of gravity after billions of years has partially washed out this information. Moreover our observations yield only a discrete and distorted luminous fraction of biased tracers of the continuous underlying cosmic (dark) matter density field. How accurately can we model the biased galaxy distribution including redshift space distortions and nonlinear clustering?, How far can we undo gravity?, and, How far can we recover the full phase-space information from such tracers? I will present combined physical statistical data analysis methods to analyse the LSS, such as the ARGO, KIGEN and PATCHY codes and ALPT (augmented Lagrangian Perturbation theory). I will show some applications, ranging from the study of the Local Group motion (CMB-dipole), the bulk flows in the Local Volume based on the 2MRS survey, the Hubble constant measurement, environmental studies of galaxies, the missing baryon problem in the WHIM, to 2- and 3- point clustering statistics analysis from the BOSS survey.
