Abstract: Linial arrangements are certain finite truncations of the affine Weyl arrangements. In 2000, Postnikov and Stanley conjectured that all roots of the characteristic polynomial of each Linial arrangement have the same real part. I will report several recently found connection between Linial arrangements and other combinatorial things, e.g., Ehrhart theory (lattice point counting) and Eulerian polynomials. If time permits, I will also discuss Postnikov-Stanley's conjecture.
