Title: The role of radial migration in the chemical evolution of the Milky Way
Date (JST): Thu, Oct 12, 2017, 13:30 - 14:30
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: I will present an overview of the potential impact of radial migration on the chemical evolution of the Milky Way disk, based on the results of recent studies with N-body simulations and semi-analytical models. I will discuss, in particular, the impact on local observables (the local age-metallicity relation and its dispersion, the local metallicity distribution etc.), as well as the chemical properties of the thin and thick disks. I will also discuss some preliminary results obtained with recent yields of rotating massive stars.
