Title: Classical Conformal Blocks and Quasinormal Modes from Isomonodromic Deformations
Date (JST): Tue, Nov 07, 2017, 15:30 - 16:45
Place: Seminar Room B
Abstract: In this seminar, we discuss two interesting applications of the theory of isomonodromic deformations: the calculation of classical conformal blocks and quasinormal modes of black holes. The first application can be useful to calculate entanglement entropy in the AdS3/CFT2 correspondence at large central charge. The second application is a new method to calculate quasinormal modes. As an example, we show how to obtain quasinormal modes of the 4-dimensional Kerr-de Sitter black hole.
Both applications rely on the solution of the Riemann-Hilbert problem of 4-point Fuchsian equations via Painlevé VI tau-function. Finally, we also discuss how isomonodromic deformations can shed some light on the relation between c=\infty and c=1 conformal blocks appearing in the AGT correspondence.
