Abstract: Motivated by the recent galactic center excess in gamma-rays spectra, we perform a detailed study of QCD uncertainties on the gamma-ray spectra from Dark Matter (DM) Annihilation. The spectra of photons in DM annihilation can be modeled using Monte Carlo (MC) event generators. Photons in this context arise from a complicated set of processes; resonance decays, QED/QCD showers, hadronization and hadron decays. Therefore, the modeling contains some intrinsic uncertainties due to the hadronization model being used. We perform, for the first time, an estimate of the hadronization uncertainties within Pythia8. The effect on the best fit points obtained in the MSSM is quickly discussed. The spectra (including the uncertainties) will be available in tabulated form for future use. We will discuss also prospects for collider and non-collider studies.
