| Abstract: | The exceptional locus of a symplectic resolution of a singular symplectic variety has a rich structure and is expected to have much information about the given singularity. I will give several examples of symplectic resolutions, and show that the exceptional loci characterize the original singularities in certain cases. If time permits, I will discuss construction of symplectic resolutions of quotient singularities. |
