Abstract: The notion of a perfectoid ring, which originates from the work of Scholze, has become increasingly important in many branches of mathematics such as number theory, algebraic geometry, and commutative ring theory.
In this talk, I will discuss a classification result for p-divisible groups as an application of perfectoid rings, with emphasis on descent methods for finite projective modules over perfectoid rings with respect to the (p-complete) arc-topology (which is a special class of Grothendieck topologies) introduced by Bhatt-Mathew.
