Title: Differential equations aspects of quantum cohomology (Part 1) Some new solutions of the tt*-equations (Part 2)
Date (JST): Mon, Jul 12, 2010, 14:00 - 17:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: (Part 1)
I will introduce some of the differential equations which arise in quantum cohomology (quantum differential equations, WDVV equations, tt*-equations).
(Part 2)
The equations of topological-antitopological fusion were introduced by Cecotti-Vafa. Their solutions may be interpreted as real structures on Frobenius manifolds, or variations of polarized Hodge structures. Physics and mathematics suggest the existence of "global solutions" to these equations, but it is difficult to give a rigorous proof. I will describe some new examples where a rigorous proof is possible.
