Abstract: Part 1: In the first part I will review the basic concept and prescription of AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular, it will be explained how one can describe superconductivity through holography.

Part 2: We present a D=4, N=2 gauged supergravity which is a consistent truncation of D=11 supergravity. The model has one
massive vector multiplet and two hypermultiplets, in addition to the gravity multiplet of N=2 supergravity. The supersymmetric vacuum corresponds to the near-horizon limit of M5-branes wrapped on special lagrangian 3-cycle in a Calabi-Yau manifold.
Employing the criterion of Denef and Hartnoll, we show that the model exhibits holographic superconductivity.
