Title: LFV decays of the Higgs boson in generalized DFSZ axion models
Date (JST): Fri, Jul 12, 2024, 13:30 - 15:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: Axion can explain excessive energy losses observed in several stellar environments.
Motivated by the stellar cooling anomalies, we focus on generalized DFSZ models.
The model predicts nucleophobic axion, for which strong constraints from the astrophysical observations can be alleviated.
As a result, it can provide a large portion of parameter space that accommodates the stellar cooling hints, compared with the standard DFSZ model.
Another feature of the model is that lepton flavor violation (LFV) is induced.
In this talk, we discuss how the generalized DFSZ models can explain the excess in the Higgs LFV decay modes reported by the ATLAS in 2023.
We also discuss the correlation between the axion and the Higgs bosons in the models.
