Abstract: In the presence of Yukawa or other forces that act as long-range on the scale of the cosmological horizon in the early universe, structure can form in some particle species even during the radiation dominated era. The inhomogeneities introduced by these structures in the rest of the plasma can result in "fireballs" that explode and expand, breaking the thermal equilibrium and paving the way for electroweak baryogenesis without a first-order phase transition. The same phenomenon can change the WIMP production, and can lead to formation of primordial black holes.
