| Abstract: |
Given a regular function f on a smooth variety X we consider the cohomology H of X relative to a general fiber of f. It turns out that if X admits a C* action scaling the function then we can say a lot about the relative cohomology. This description can be made very explicit in the case where X is a smooth toric DM stack. In the talk I will explain the construction in general and toric case. In the remaining time I plan to discuss applications to enumerative geometry and mirror symmetry in the toric case. |
