The F-blowup is a canonical birational transform of singular varieties in positive characteristic. In recent years, the exceptional loci of F-blowups for toric varieties have been studied. In this talk, we discuss a combinatorial characterization of the dimensions of centers of divisors on F-blowups, together with an algorithm for computing them. We also present applications to the relationship between F-blowups and essential divisors for toric varieties in dimension three and four. This talk is based on joint work with Enrique Chávez-Martínez and Takehiko Yasuda. |
