| Abstract: |
The large-scale structure traced by galaxies is a powerful probe of galaxy formation and cosmology. Line intensity mapping (LIM) is an emerging technique for mapping this structure through the cumulative line emission from unresolved galaxies, and realistic mock galaxy catalogues for LIM are crucial for developing observational pipelines and interpreting observed data. We present the Cosmological Generative Model for Line Intensity Mapping with Transformer (CosmoGLINT), a fast autoregressive generative model that produces galaxy sequences conditioned on halo properties. Trained on the IllustrisTNG hydrodynamical simulation, CosmoGLINT reproduces key statistical properties of the original data and efficiently generates multiple realizations of specified galaxy populations. This enables the construction of mock LIM and redshift-survey catalogues from large halo catalogues generated by fast dark-matter-only simulations. |
