Title: Gaiotto's Conformal Limit and the Geometric Langlands Correspondence

Abstract:
Gaiotto conjectured a conformal limit construction of an oper from a Higgs bundle. This was proved in Dumitrescu-Fredrickson-Kydonakis-Mazzeo-Mulase-Neitzke (2021). The purpose of this talk is to show that this construction is actually the same as the natural map appearing in the Geometric Langlands Correspondence (GLC) for the oper case due to Beilinson-Drinfeld. More precisely, there is a unique and canonical map from the G-Hitchin base of the moduli space of G-Higgs bundles to the moduli space of LG-opers. Here, G is a simple Lie group and LG its Langlands dual. This map assigns to each G-spectral curve its quantum LG-Schrödinger operator, i.e., an h-bar deformation family of LG-opers.
