ACP Seminar (Astronomy - Cosmology - Particle Physics)

Speaker: Yifang Wang
Title: Reactor neutrino experiments and future prospects
Date (JST): Thu, Feb 12, 2009, 13:30 - 14:30
Place: Seminar Room at IPMU Prefab. B
Abstract: Neutrino oscillation is one of the central problems of particle physics with a substantial influence to astro-physics and cosmology. Recent efforts to understand the remaining unknown oscillation parameters are reviewed, and current status of the Daya Bay experiment is presented. Future prospects to understand neutrino mass hierarchy using reactor neutrinos is introduced. In addition, a very short introduction of particle physics in China will be given.
