Title: Soliton Theories and Quasideterminants
Date (JST): Thu, Mar 08, 2012, 15:30 - 17:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: We would discuss noncommutative (NC) extension of soliton theories and (classical) integrable systems in diverse dimensions. In the construction of exact NC soliton solutions, a kind of noncommutative determinants, quasideterminants, play criucial roles both in gauge theories (for e.g. anti-self-dual Yang-Mills eq.) and in scalar theories (for e.g. KP, KdV eqs.). We would like to present recent results on NC solitons together with a brief review of commutative soliton theories.
