Abstract: Brane Tilings - also known as dimers - have attracted recently renewed interest in both mathematics and physics. They represent 4 dimensional N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories whose moduli spaces are toric Calabi-Yau. The talk will give an introduction to brane tilings and present old and new dualities between them. I will give an outlook on how one of them can be used to study a new class of field theories.
