Title: Supersymmetry with light higgsinos
Date (JST): Wed, Nov 28, 2012, 12:00 - 13:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: To mimimize fine-tuning in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model, the higgsino mass parameter mu should not be too far above the electroweak scale. This talk is concerned with a class of models which naturally achieve this. In our models mu is generated from gravitationally suppressed interactions, whereas all supersymmetry-breaking mass parameters are induced by high-scale messenger gauge mediation. We will discussthe motivation for this set-up, the resulting superpartner mass spectra, and the prospects for testing this scenario at colliders by looking for light higgsino-like charginos and neutralinos.
