Abstract: The tight link between the masses of today's supermassive black holes and their host galaxy spheroids (BH/bulge correlation)suggests a fundamental connection between black hole growth and star-formation. However, when and how this connection was forged remains a significant unsolved problem for astronomers. In this talk, I will present various works exploring the connection between black hole and galaxy growth over cosmic time and consider what physical processes may underlie this link.
