| Abstract: |
We introduce a complete framework, based on an effective field theory description, that allows to perform characterisation studies of the newly discovered boson in all relevant channels in a consistent, systematic and accurate way. Production and decay of the boson with various spin and parity assignments can be obtained merging leading order and/or next-to-leading order calculations with parton showers. Several sample applications and studies are presented.
