Title: Embedded contact homology of circle bundles
Date (JST): Thu, Jul 04, 2013, 15:30 - 17:00
Place: Seminar Room A
Abstract: Embedded contact homology is a topological invariant of three-manifolds (due to Hutchings), defined by choosing a contact structure on a three-manifold and studying pseudoholomorphic curves in its (four-dimensional) symplectization. It provides a link between Seiberg-Witten gauge theory and contact geometry. We compute this invariant for nontrivial circle bundles over Riemann surfaces (prequantization spaces).
