Title: Cosmogenic Neutrinos and the HiRes experiment
Abstract: Extensive Air Showers (EAS) reveal information about the highest energy radiation in the Universe. HiRes images these EAS to harvest this information and gain insight into the sources of these cosmic rays. The measurement of the cosmic ray spectrum by HiRes, which led to the first observation of the GZK cutoff, allows us to estimate fluxes of cosmogenic neutrinos. HiRes data allows us to set limits on these neutrino fluxes. I will discuss the current status of our quest for the sources of these ultra high energy cosmic rays and the role of neutrinos in this context.
