Abstract: The holographic entanglement entropy implies an interpretation of a spacetime in gravity as a collection of tiny bits of quantum entanglement. One manifestation of this idea is the recent conjecture that the real space renormalization called multi-scale entanglement renormalization (MERA) is equivalent to the AdS/CFT correspondence. We will study this relation by taking continuum limit and using a free scalar field theory as a toy model. Finally we will construct a finite temperature version and compare it with the AdS black holes.
