Abstract: Variables based on the kinematics are efficient and powerful enough to interpret signals at the LHC. For example, there are universal variables like MET, HT and "designed" variable including invariant mass and MT2 that have been utilised in the collider experiments. Especially "designed" variables are more powerful but yet have limited applications. In this talk, I will show how we can reinterpret kinematic variables in general situations and possible modification of MT2 to get more precise measurements.
