| Abstract: |
The so-called fluxtrap background in string theory gives rise to a large variety of deformed supersymmetric gauge theories when branes are placed inside it. The best-known example is Nekrasov's Omega-deformed 4d gauge theories, other examples are 2d gauge theories with twisted masses and N=2* theory, to name just a few. In this part II, we will review a number of concrete applications in more detail, such as constructing the Omega-deformed Seiberg-Witten Lagrangian and the construction of the gravity dual of deformed N=4 SYM theories. |
