Abstract: This talk is about a categorification. A symmetric categorical group
is regarded as a categorification of an abelian group. As such, the
2-category of symmetric categorical groups (SCG) has some
homological-algebraic properties.
A natural question is: "How can we treat this 2-categorical structure
(in abstracto)?"
We answer this by defining a 2-categorical analog of an abelian
category. The axiomatic and self-dual definition enables us to
simplify the proofs, just like the abelian category theory.
