Abstract: The `conformal bootstrap' method is an approach with promising results. Based on the unitarity and crossing symmetry of 4-point correlation function, it was successfully applied to the 3-dimensional Ising model and 3-dimensional O(N)-critical theory. Highly accurate numerical value of the critical exponents are obtained from its numerical bound. We applied this method to the 5-dimensional O(N) theory. The existence of interacting stable UV fixed point above the upper critical dimension is hard to expect from Mean Field Theory or epsilon expansion. In this talk, we will discuss how the conformal bootstrap program predicts existence of nontrivial UV fixed point at large N.
