Abstract: |
In this talk, I will present results from a set of multi-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations of the accretion-induced collapse of white dwarfs with spectral neutrino transport. The simulations are done axisymmetrically starting from uniformly and differentially rotating white dwarfs. Gravitational wave signal, extracted by quadrupole formula shows three main features correlated to post-bounce oscillations of the proto-neutron star(PNS), prompt convection in the post-shock region and long-term convection. The prompt convection signal is prominent in the slowly and mediately rotating models but suppressed in the fastest rotating models. Neutrino signal in the rotational axes shows the similar signature which is not present in the equatorial direction. I will discuss how these signals are correlated to the post-bounce dynamics. Detectability by current observatories will be briefly mentioned. |
