Abstract: We study how a fluctuating domain wall in three dimensions modifies bulk correlation functions in a gapped phase. This leads us to introduce an effective coupling $\lambda$ that characterizes the interaction between the wall and the lightest bulk massive particle. We compute several observables in terms of the dimensionless coupling $\lambda$. Namely, one-point and two-point functions in the presence of a toroidal domain wall on a 3d torus, finite transverse volume corrections to the free-energy and particle scattering on the wall. We test our predictions with lattice simulations of the Ising model on a 3d torus with anti-periodic boundary conditions along one direction.
