Abstract: By generalizing the construction of BLG and ABJ(M) to spin 2 one can turn all the global symmetries of these theories into local ones, a process I call topological gauging. Without introducing new degrees of freedom a number of new interaction terms appear that transform the structure and properties of these theories completely, also leading to entirely new models, e.g. a 3d vector model with eight supersymmetries.

Part 1: I will here give the motivation and basic structure of these new CFTs and describe a set of solutions with potential physical relevance.

Part 2: After describing how to construct these new theories I discuss further properties of the solutions and some possible AdS/CFT relations (higher spins etc).
